on to Total e-Business Solution from BodyShop Direct
BodyShop Direct, the integrated computer management system from
Brown Brothers, part of the Unipart Group of Companies, now offers
users a total e-business solution. The latest Internet-based technology
incorporated into its management and estimating program, dramatically
reduces the time spent during the repair process, with the entire
parts ordering procedure now completed within a matter of minutes.
EDI
parts ordering was pioneered by BodyShop Direct over four years
ago, and now, using the Internet, the procurement facility is available
to all suppliers who have a web browser and compatible software.
The package allows bodyshops to send suppliers electronic purchase
orders and receive order acknowledgements, transmit sales invoices
to customers, and keep in contact with colleagues via email, improving
the speed and efficiency of information transferred.
By
operating in conjunction with estimating modules, including Audatex,
Glassmatix, Motex, ARCS, Quoits, Inter-est and Pathways and its
own Thatcham TTS/TPS estimating modules, BodyShop Direct allows
users to create a parts purchase order with instant transmission
via the Internet to the chosen supplier.
Ian Fryatt, sales manager BodyShop Programmes, Brown Brothers, comments:
"The introduction of the Internet transmission facility is the latest
added-value initiative from BodyShop Direct. By using an Internet
browser, the parts procurement process is extended to all suppliers,
allowing repairers to dramatically reduce the repair process resulting
in a direct benefit to their customers and Work Providers."
